Resolution: refers to the sharpness and clarity of an image. The term is most often used to describe monitors, printers, and bit-mapped graphic images.
Surface-mounted device (SMD): is a method for producing electronic circuits in which the components are mounted or placed directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards.
LED Matrix Display: is a large, low-resolution form of dot-matrix display, useful for both industrial and commercial information displays as well as for hobbyist human–machine interfaces.
Local Dimming: refers to the technology that changes the uniformity of the backlight of an LED screen.
RGB (red, green, and blue): refers to a system for representing the colors to be used on a computer display.
Printed Circuit Board: a thin plate on which chips and other electronic components are placed.
Display Controller: the main component of any device generating a video signal. It is an integrated circuit that produces a TV video signal in a video display system.
Pixels: the smallest element of an image that can be individually processed in a video display system.
